This function is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. It never updated the remote index: it only fetched PACKAGES from S3 when the file was missing, matched tarballs with a loose pattern, and never uploaded the result. Use upload_package_index() instead, which rebuilds the index from the objects in S3 and uploads it.

Usage

add_to_package_index(
  s3_endpoint,
  s3_region,
  s3_bucket,
  package_name = NULL,
  local_output_dir_root = file.path("mnt", "cache", "binaries"),
  codename = NULL,
  s3_access_key_id = NULL,
  s3_secret_access_key = NULL,
  r_minor = NULL
)
